Engraved Powder Horn

Physical Description

Powder horns were considered essential French and Indian War-era military and hunting gear and were sometimes engraved with decorative scenes. Circa 1758, this powder horn was carved at Fort Pitt and probably belonged to a British officer. It includes a depiction of the fort as well as a British coat of arms. More than 20 powder horns will be included in Clash of Empires.
