Prickett’s Fort

Fairmont, West Virginia

Pricketts Fort, located in Fairmont, West Virginia was constructed in 1774. It is now the site of living history exhibits that focus on the period of 1750-1790. Visitors hear about the history of the region and see firsthand what life inside a civilian refuge fort was like on the frontier in the late 1700s. Costumed interpreters demonstrate daily life and crafts.

Hours of Operation

Visitor Center is open year round. Historic tours available Monday through Saturday, 10:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. and Sunday, 12:00p.m. to 4:30p.m., April through October. Closed: Mondays and Tuesdays before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Tours require admission fee.
