HISTORICAL SITE DETAILS

Daniel Boone Homestead

Birdsboro, Pennsylvania

Built in 1734, this homestead is the birthplace of frontiersman Daniel Boone. The site interprets the lives of English and German settlers, just like the Boone family, who lived in eastern Berks County. Visitors will have a chance to experience life as it was in the 18th century. There are seven buildings, located on 579 acres of land with miles of hiking trails. There is a visitor's center featuring exhibits, orientation videos and education programs. Guided tours are available along with dozens of special programs, and recreation areas for picnics and family fun.
