Fort Klock

St. Johnsville, New York

Fort Klock was built in 1750 by Johannes Klock. The fort was a trading post and fortified stone house used for refuge during the French and Indian War. The fort is located on a 30 acre complex with orginal colonial farm structures and a 19th century school house, located in St. Johnsville, New York. In 1973 it was designated as a National Historic Landmark.
