Fort William Henry

Lake George, New York

Fort William Henry, located in Lake George, NY, was constructed in the aftermath of the Battle of Lake George in Sept. of 1755. This is also the site of the French and Indian victory in 1757 immortalized by James Fenimore Cooper in Last of the Mohicans.
